Fannie was born on June 13th, 1940 in Estill County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Henry and Mable Abner Strange. Fannie was a member of the Denham Street Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing with her husband, playing softball and bowling when she was younger.
Fannie was survived by four sons, Richard T. (and Debra) Meadows Jr., Clifford (and Angie) Meadows, Gary (and Audra) Meadows, and Brian Meadows; two daughters, Barbara S. (and James) Choate and Alexandrea (and Michael) Petrungaro; three brothers, John Strange, Marvin (and Mary) Strange, and Pete (and Sherry) Strange; four sisters, Anna (and Stanley) Slemp, Phyllis Holder, Henrietta (and Maynard) Watkins, and Sylvia (and Johnny) Crouch; thirty-nine grandchildren; thirty-three great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mable Strange; her husband of 51 years, Richard Trulan Meadows Sr., whom she married on April 22nd, 1957 in Powell County, Kentucky; one son, Tracy Meadows Sr.; two brothers, Willie Strange and Billy Ray Strange; one sister, Mary Lane; and one grandchild.
Visitations were held after 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday April 30th, 2014 at the Southern Oaks Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, May 1st, 2014 in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Keith officiating.
Graveside services were held at 12:00 noon on Friday, May 2nd, 2014 in the Meadows Cemetery in Powell County, Kentucky.
