Bobby Glenn Locke Sr. age 81 and longtime resident of Clarendon passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014 in Clarendon.

A son of Joseph and Grace Locke, and the youngest of nine children, Bobby was born January 31, 1933 in Clarendon.

As a teenager he and Faye Gray became sweethearts and in time knew they desired a lifetime commitment. They were married on January 6, 1952 in the small community of Hurricane. For a time they lived in Memphis and in 1956 returned to Clarendon and have remained.

Bobby worked 34 years for Piper Industries, which included 14 years as a plant manager.

He loved hunting, fishing, and hosting family gatherings. As a wood craftsman, he was one of a kind and enjoyed making duck calls, gun cabinets and various pieces of furniture.

He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Clarendon and often referred to John 14:2 as his favorite Bible verse. Bobby had a gift of making bad situations better and encouraged family and friends with his humor.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Carol Locke Warner.

He is survived by his wife, Faye Gray Locke, two children, Bobby (Dejuan) Locke, Jr., Sharon (Robert) Caldwell all of Clarendon, six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren.

Visitation: 10:00AM, Services following at 11:00AM, both Wednesday, April 23rd at the First Baptist Church in Clarendon, burial Shady Grove Cemetery.
