Audrey Marion (Brown) Payne

Audrey Marion (Brown) Payne, 82, of Pensacola, Florida departed this life on Friday, April 25, 2014. The daughter of the late Arthur Emmett Brown and Flonnie Mae (Denney) Brown, Audrey was born in Ottawa, Kentucky on June 10, 1931.

Audrey enjoyed a full life as a wife and homemaker. Audrey was a longtime member of the Warrington Church of Christ. Audrey enjoyed traveling, bird watching, bowling, and writing poetry, and she will long be remembered as a gentle, loving woman who always supported her family and friends.

Audrey is survived by four children: Teresa Boose (Ken Garcia) of Kansas City, KS; Arlene Neitzel (Bill) of Pensacola, FL; Carol Payne of Parkersburg, WV; and Kenny Payne (Lora) of Panama City, FL.

She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, including Audrey Alicia Mae Payne of Pensacola, FL, who she raised after the age of eleven, great-grandchildren, and her sister, Mollie Ross of Franklin, IN.

Audrey was preceded in death by the love of her life, Charles Edward Payne, to whom she was married for forty-four years. She also was preceded in death by two children: Charles Edward Payne, Jr. and Susan Lynette Payne, and four brothers.

Funeral and burial arrangements were handled by Waters and Hibbert Funeral Home and burial was in Barrancas National Cemetery.
