Armstrong (Kenny), Ellen C. Saginaw, Michigan Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother passed away peacefully on August 10, 2008 at the age of 92. Ellen was born on March 7, 1916 in Manistee, Michigan. She was married to John Marsh Armstrong who pre-deceased her on October 27, 1992. Ellen was the youngest of the Kenny family. She was predeceased by four brothers and four sisters. Ellen was a special aunt and friend to so many individuals and was truly admired by all of her family. She was employed by the Saginaw Catholic Cemetery Commission. She played the organ and sang for Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. Surviving is her son John Armstrong and daughter-in-law Colleen Armstrong; as well as her daughter, Judith Erway, all of Saginaw; her grandchildren: David (Beverly) Erway, Scott (Chris) Erway, Theresa (Steve) Gagnon, Laurie Westphal, Chuck (Jackie) Erway, Cherie (Chris) Tilot, Ellen Erway, Lisa (Tom) Farrell, Angelo (Cynthia) Armstrong, Kim (Bob) Martin and Mike (Michelle Rucki) Armstrong; great grandchildren: Quinn Erway, Nicholas and Emily Tilot, Justin Hamilton, Lexie Farrell, Jack, Jennifer and Amanda Martin, Tim (Amber) Shepard, Jake Armstrong, Taylor Rucki, Samantha Armstrong, Anthony (Holly) Bloedel, Tyler and Erin Glavens, Carter, Austin and Cooper Westphal, Garrett and Kelsey Gagnon, Erica, Jenna and Kristy Erway, Madison Schell and great great grandson Dominic Bloedel. Ellen will be remembered as a very special person whose Irish eyes were always smiling. Funeral liturgy will take place on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at St. Andrew Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Ronald Wagner will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Visitation will take place at the McIntyre Funeral Chapel, 500 N. Michigan on Tuesday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. with a vigil service at 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Memorials can be considered to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
