Helen Polson, 91, of Keosauqua died at 1:45 a.m. Sunday, May 28, 2006, at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua.

Born May 27, 1915, in Douds, she was the daughter of Harley E. and Jessie Morrison Plowman.
On March 26, 1966, she married Lloyd Polson. He died June 28, 1994.

She was a 1932 graduate of Douds–Leando High School and a graduate of Parsons College in Fairfield. She taught school and was active in the family farm operation.
She had lived several years at Center Village Care Center in Keosauqua.

Survivors include several cousins.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and her aunt and uncle, Gloie and Charles Claflin, with whom she lived for much of her childhood.
