Funeral services for Nita Faye Williams of Jonesville will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, April 30, at the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Jena with Rev. Dan McClure officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Corner Cemetery in Forest, La. with graveside service at 2:00 pm.
The family asks that visitation be observed from 5 until 9 pm on Tuesday, April 29, and from 8 am until time for services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Williams, 76, was born on November 24, 1937 in Natchez, Mississippi and passed from this life on Sunday April 27, 2014 at Hill Top Nursing Home in Pineville.
She was a housewife. She loved to sew and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. A member of Christ Temple Pentecostal Church in Jena for eight years.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Ernest Williams, Jr. of Jonesville; son, Ronald Dean Williams of Denham Springs; sister, Jeannie Oeffner of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Courtney Layne Williams, Breigh Anne Williams, Ryan Dean Williams, Madison Elaine Williams, Melany Hollaway, Christina “Tina” Fernandez and Theresa Parnell and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents, Bluford and Rosie Breithaupt Bailey; son, Rodger Dale Williams; brothers, Bill Bailey, Charles Bailey and Claude Ray Bailey.
