In Taunton, Feb. 24, 2014 Richard Joseph Roche Age 82, passed away in Morton Hospital following a brief illness. Richard was the loving husband of Frances (Baran) Roche of Rehoboth. He was born in Rockland, the son of the late John and Louise (Gallagher) Roche. Richard served his country during the Korean War while in the U.S. Navy. He later worked at Taunton State Hospital as a security officer. Richard enjoyed sports, traveling, boating and cherished his time with family. Richard leaves his children Frances Grant of Bryan, Ohio, Susan Crandell of Stoughton, June Lake and her husband Barry of Taunton, Sandra Jones of Colorado and Jeanne Hunter-McCartin of Plymouth. He was the brother of the late Jane Hegarty, Louise McCormack, Elizabeth Burns and Mary Dolan. Richard is survived by his eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at Bourne National Cemetery on Thursday, Feb. 27th at 12:30 pm.
