Funeral of Dr. Joseph C. Aszuk, 62, of 107 Hillside Street, who died shortly before noon, will be held from McLaughlin Funeral Home, 142 South Washington Street, at 9 with a solemn mass at 9:30 in Holy Trinity Church. Interment in St. John’s Cemetery, Dallas. Friends may call 2 to 5 and 7 to 10. Dr. Aszuk was admitted to the hospital August 11.

Services for Dr. Joseph P. Burke, 75, of 16 Prospect Avenue, Scranton, who died at 11 a.m., will be held at 9 from the funeral home, 715 Linden Street, Scranton, with a requiem mass at 9:30 in Church of the Nativity. Interment in Cathedral Cemetery.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, Dr. Aszuk was the son of Mrs. Charles Demboski Aszuk and the late Charles Aszuk. He was a graduate of Coughlin High School, Temple University Medical School and served his internship in Mercy Hospital. A member of the staff at Mercy Hospital for a number of years, he practiced medicine in the Heights section of Wilkes-Barre 24 years before joining the staff of physicians at Veterans Administration Hospital seven years ago.

Dr. Aszuk was a member of Holy Trinity Lithuanian Church, American Legion Post 132, Parochial Child Health Staff and Luzerne County Medical Society.

Surviving are his wife, the former Emily Beschak of Kingston, daughters: Joan, a teacher in Plainfield, N.J.; Ann, a teacher in South Plainfield, N.J.: and a cousin, Sister M. Rosalia, member of Sisters of St. Casimir Order, Rosswell, N.M.
