Rosemary Clarke Carr
Oct. 1, 1920 - Sept. 13, 2007

Rosemary passed away at home surrounded by her loving family.

A California native, she was born in Anaheim and grew up in Southern California with her sisters Eleanor and Betty and her brother Allen. She moved to Hawaii in 1941 where she met Lieutenant Timothy A. Carr. They were married in June 1942. They settled in San Mateo, California to raise their family of eight children: Judith, Ellen, Laurel, Francie, Charles, George, Edward, and Carol. After the children married, Rosemary and Tim moved to Cupertino and then Los Gatos where Rosemary has lived for the past 10 years.

Her siblings, friends, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren brought her great joy. She will be missed by all 26 of her grandchildren: Tony, Matthew, Lili, DeBrae, Jamika, Julicea and Matthies Petronelli; Kathy Tracy, Carolyn Hulin and Julia Grace; Tim and Christian Bolin; Ashley and Alissa Chandler; Fiona Taft, Scott and Andrew Carr; Jennifer Barnes, Michael and Jeffrey Carr; Jack and Kaydie Carr, and Courtney, Carissa and Caitlin Voegele. Her great grandchildren will also miss her: Nikobi, Codelia, Thalia, Mikey and Justina Petronelli; Jake and Luke Tracy; Andrew and Alyson Hulin; Emmanuelle Bolin; Ray and Matthew Taft; Lindsay Barnes and Casey Carr. All of us were fortunate to experience her love and nurturing. Rosemary appreciated her many friends as well as her family.

Her involvement in her community and in her children's activities and interests through the years produced many valued, lifelong friendships. She enjoyed her husband's colleagues and their families and as recently as a month ago looked forward to their lunches together. In August a holiday in Hawaii was an opportunity to visit with old friends there. She enjoyed her parish and community service and continued to volunteer her time until last month.

She loved life and we hope you will join in celebrating that life. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. at Darling and Fisher, 615 Santa Cruz Avenue, Los Gatos. Requiem Mass will be celebrated Wednesday September 19, 2007 at 12 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 219 Bean Avenue, Los Gatos. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Los Altos. The family invites you to a reception at The Commons, 443 Alberto Way, Los Gatos following the interment.
