William Beatty, who lived many years in Modesto, died on December 19, 2009. A graduate of Turlock High School, he was the first child born to a family in the Delhi Land Settlement. Bill was the son of the late Dr. Walter K. Beatty and Matilde Garcia Beatty.

He was a member of the 486th Bomb Group of the United States Army during World War II and served in Europe. He worked, as a Draftsman, for a number of government agencies.

Bill is survived by nieces and nephews, Robert Beatty, Dan Beatty, Mary Beatty Carmo, Marilyn Beatty Anderson, Marge Beatty Porter, Nancy Beatty Segars, John Beatty III, Carolee Beatty Young and Tom Beatty. A sister-in-law, Georgia Baker Beatty, also survives him.

Private services have been held with burial at Turlock Memorial Park.
