TROY-Patrick F. Myers, 67, of Troy passed into eternal rest on Saturday morning January 12, 2013 at his residence. Born in Troy he was the son of the late Walter J. and Marion C. Whitney Myers and beloved husband of Kim Johnson Myers and the proud father of Hannah Myers both of Troy. Pat was communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Troy and was a volunteer for the food pantry of the church. He attended St. Joseph's School and Catholic Central High School both in Troy and graduated from James Madison High School in Virginia and Mitchell College in North Carolina. After college Pat was called to serve his country in the US Navy. He had the experience of crossing the Arctic Circle. For many years he was a code enforcer for the City of Troy and retired from the NYS Department of Labor. In addition to his wife and daughter, Pat is survived by his sister, Marion T. Hills of Troy; his brother-in-law, Keith (Susan) Johnson and his sister-in-law, Ida Myers. He was also predeceased by his brother, Walter Myers and sister, Margaret (Peggy) Gannon and his brother-in-law, Lester E. Hills. Pat is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many good friends. The funeral service for Patrick will be held on Tuesday morning at 8:45 a.m. from the Wm. Leahy Funeral Home, 336 Third St., Troy and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church in Troy where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
