Timothy Winton Garrett
Obituary

GARRETT
Timothy Winton
12/25/61 - 4/20/14

Timothy Winton Garrett, left us unexpectedly on the early afternoon of Easter Sunday peacefully at home. He worked as a dredge operator for Luedtke Engineering, Seaway Dredging and the King Company across the Great Lakes. He entertained us constantly with his off-beat humor. He was a fantastic cook and his meals always brought the family together. Tim missed his calling as a chef! His first cooking attempt was at three years old as he was found standing on a chair at the stove where the bacon was cooking and the eggs were in the making! He was cherished by his family and friends, and he will be missed by many. Tim was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Garrett. He is survived by his mother, Colleen Garrett; sister, Christina Keene; daughter, Jeannette Garrett with Casey Bly; son, Keith Garrett and his grandsons, Krew and Mattix; nieces, Meredith Schlemer, Madeline Eades, and Caitlyn Keene; stepmother, Virginia Garrett, stepbrothers, Jeff Wessendorf, Greg Wessendorf and stepsister, Darcy Wessendorf; his lifelong friends, Ted Johnson, Kevin Paul and Bobby McLain. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. in Urbanski's Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Avenue, Temperance, MI where funeral services will be held Wednesday April 30, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. Following the service he will be laid to rest in Whiteford Union Cemetery. We wish to thank the Bedford Fire Dept. for their heroic efforts. Online condolences may be shared at bedfordfuneralchapel.com
