Jeannie was employed by the U.S. Department of the Interior in Washington, D. C., and the U.S. Department of Social Security in Sumter. Most recently she was employed by Riverland Hills Preschool in Columbia.
Survivors besides her mother of Sumter include her husband, Leon Davis Edwards; three sons; and a sister.
Services were held at St. Marys Episcopal Church with burial in Sumter Cemetery.
