Dub served his community in many ways throughout his life including many years as a member of the City Council, volunteer in the fire department, coach with youth and adult baseball teams and as a member of Lions Club, Jaycees, and Boy Scouts. He was a member and supporter of the Norman Community Christian Church.
Dub was an avid sportsman who loved to fish and hunt.
Dub was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary, and his sister, Patsy. He is survived by three daughters; Sharon (Bob), Darlene (Brad) and Melody (Jeff), six grandchildren; Rob, Mike, Coley, Carol, Garrett and Hailey, two great grandchildren; Aiden and Alec and his companion, Irene Brakefield.
Pallbearers are Paul Hamilton, Ralph Hamilton, Hector Basurto, Rob Shewmake, Mike Shewmake and Jeffery McKnight. Honorary pallbearers are the staff at Montgomery County Nursing Home.
