ORVILLE D. HEAD
Orville D. Head, 77, Route 2, Hilbert, died at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at
Phoenix, Ariz., following a short illness.
He was born Oct. 14, 1891, in Ashland, a son of Mr. and Mrs. L. P. Head.
Mr. Head resided in the Stockbridge area all his life, operating a farm and
also serving as highway supervisor. He was a member of the Holy Name
Society of St. Mary's Church, Stockbridge.
Surviving are his widow; four daughters, Mrs. Richard Volp and Mrs. Donald
Ortlieb, both of Stockbridge, Mrs. Gilbert Hoeltzel and Miss Jeanette Head,
both of Route 2, Hilbert; two sons, Marcel, Route 2, Hilbert, and Jerome of
Stockbridge; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son,
James, in 1953.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Church,
Stockbridge, with the Rev. William Willinger officiating. Burial will be in
the parish cemetery.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Fargo Funeral Home,
Stockbridge.
