Melba “Joyce” Harris, age 67, passed away April 21, 2014 in McKinney, Texas. She was born July 25, 1946 to Arthur Lee and Jamie Nadine (Bates) Ayers in Sherman, Texas. She married William Charles Harris on May 19, 1965 in McKinney, Texas. She was a member of Community North Baptist Church in McKinney, Texas.
She is survived by her loving husband, one daughter, one son, two grandchildren, one brother, two sisters, along with multiple granddogs.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Arthur Lee and Jamie Nadine Ayers; brother, Arthur Lane Ayers; sister, Martha Ayers; nephews, Noah Pell and Isaac Hunt.
A celebration of life will be held Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation being held Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
