Elizabeth Pollard was a daughter of Robert Pollard of Virginia.

Philip Pendleton married Elizabeth Pollard, daughter of Robert Pollard in 1719 - St. Stephen's Parish, King and Queen County, Virginia. This union brought forth eight children.

1. Sarah Pendleton, born 1720 in Virginia, married Joseph Thomas.

2. Mary Pendleton, born 1722 in Virginia, married in 1740, Edmund Waller born 1713, Culpeper County, Virginia, died 1771; he was Second Clerk of Spotsylvania County, Virginia. They had five children.

3. Henry Pendleton, born 1724 in Virginia married Martha Curtis. Martha was a daughter of Rice Curtis Jr. & Martha Thacker.

4. Benjamin Pendleton, born 1726 in Virginia married Mary Macon on Sept 30, 1750 in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. Benjamin was a Major in the French and Indian War (Virginia Colonial Records, page 85). He and Mary had nine children.

5. Philip Pendleton III, born 1728 in King & Queen County, Virginia. Married first Martha but she died and he married again to Spicey Freeland - daughter of James Freeland and Priscilla Freeland. Eleven Children came from these marriages.

6. Edmund Pendleton born 1730 in Virginia and died 1779.

7. John Pendleton born 1734 in Virginia.

8. Priscilla Pendleton, married William Harwood.

Elizabeth's father Robert Pollard, of King and Queen County, received from the King a grant of land in St. Stephen's Parish, near Tuckahoe swamp in said county. (Office of Register of Lands, Richmond, Virginia.)

Elizabeth Pollard-Pendleton was a sister to Joseph Pollard, whose daughter, Sarah, married Judge Edmund Pendleton.
