Travis Hood, age 78, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Friday, April 25, 2014 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from Murray Ohio, and a member of Meadow View Baptist Church. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mina and Pauline Nutt Hood; and two sisters, Willodean Gobble and Linda Bassham.
He is survived by his wife, Velma Tripp Hood, Lawrenceburg, TN; one son, Blake Hood (Amber), Spring Hill, TN; one daughter, Bridget Martin (Robert), Lawrenceburg, TN; one sister, Minaleen White, Lawrenceburg, TN; six grandchildren: Natoschia Sharp, Khearra Mosley, Abby Lee Hood, Krizten Martin, Alekz Martin, Drew Martin; and, three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers: Brian Shaw, Jason Belew, Shane Garner, Tommy White, Larry Gobble, Kenneth Knott.
A funeral service will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 4:00 PM Sunday, April 27, 2014, with Charles Gresham officiating.
