Of Harrison, MI, formerly of Spring Arbor, MI went home to be with the Lord Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Mid Michigan Medical Center in Midland, MI. He was the son of Allen J. and Mary Evelyn (Howe) Dryer born February 28, 1939 in Jackson County, Spring Arbor Township.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carma, September 7, 2011; daughter Willetta "Letta" Dryer; his parents; five brothers, Baby Duane, Bob, Richard "Dick", Frank and Phillip Dryer; sister, Clara Mae Fillmore.

Bill is survived by three children, Carma Michelle "Miki" Morris of Cresson, Texas, Nancy Rosetta (Mike) Maher of Jackson, MI and William Lee (Gaye) Dryer Jr. of Hastings, MI; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Melvin (Carol) Dryer and Harley (Marilyn) Dryer; five sisters, Helen Smith, Lois (Stanley) Allen, Shirley (Gayle) Parsons, Martha (Tom) Schwalbe and Linda (Allen) Steele.

Bill served his country in the United States Navy. He worked in construction in the area for 30 plus years. Mr. Dryer was a member Boy Scout Troop 144 in Spring Arbor, where he served on the council and at district levels. He would always say, "Remember the boys and the Troop come first". He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and traveling with his family. He was loved by many and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of his life will be held at the WATSON PARMA CHAPEL Saturday, November 12, at 11:00 a.m. Interment Campbell Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Woodland Hospice Home, 2597 South Meridian Road, Mt. Pleasant, Michigan 48858.
Visitation Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. J.L. Watson Parma Chapel 421 E. Michigan Ave.
