BOSSIER CITY LA – Graveside services for Emily Louise (Emmie Lou) Green, 94, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 28, 2014 at Hill Crest Memorial Park with Rev. Danny Gleason officiating.
Emmie was born in Vicksburg MS and passed away on April 24, 2014 in Shreveport Louisiana. She graduated from Byrd High School in 1936, and went to Norton Business College. Emmie worked at the "Mighty" Eighth Air Force Headquarters for 30 years. In her spare time she loved to play bridge and travel. She was a life-long Episcopalian and a member of St. Mark's Cathederal in Shreveport. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Augustine Lee Dabney and Maude Smith Dabney; her husband, Eugene Noles Green, Sr. and a son, Eugene Noles Green Jr. She is survived by a grandson, Patrick Green and wife Faith; a granddaughter, Kelly Denmon and husband David; great-grandchildren, Jacob Green and Kelsee Green.
In lieu of flowers the family asked that donations be made in honor of Emmie, To the Grace Home.
