University of Kansas, fulfilled Ph.D. requirements, but left before dissertation; later obtained M.S. in Geology. Military service with Army, Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and Air National Guard. Discharged 1977 as Lieutenant Colonel; retired 1991. Colorado Highway Department/Colorado Department of Transportation for 36 years as head of geotechnical unit (retired 1998). Survived by wife, one brother, one son, one daughter, four grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
