LENORE E HANSEN, age 88, of Blue Earth, died Saturday, July 7, 2012, at St. Luke's Lutheran Care Center.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 2:00 PM, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, with Rev. Dale Kohrs officiating. Burial will be Thursday, July 19, 2012, at 10:35 AM in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Visitation time will be 1 hour before the service at the church.

She was born January 18, 1924, at Eureka, SD, the daughter of Karl and Christine (Hieb) Werner. After graduating from Eureka High School she attended Business School in St. Paul, MN. On June 1, 1946 she married Helmer O. Hansen in Minneapolis; to this union they had four children Carl, James, Robert, and Ann Marie.

Lenore loved playing cards, visiting family and friends, and was a lifetime member of the Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her Daughter, Ann (Al) Gross of Blue Earth, MN, her son, Carl (Liz) Hansen of Hartsel, CO, her son, James (Pat) Hansen of Bloomington, MN, her son, Robert (Sharon) Hansen of Burnsville, MN, 10 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Helmer, parents, 3 brothers, and 3 sisters.
