James "Don" Donald Hilliard

James Donald “Don” Hilliard, 77, of Conway, went to be with the Lord Saturday, January 24, 2009.
He was born July 11, 1931, in Martin, TN, to the late Martin Robert Hilliard and Bessie Lee (Poyner) Hilliard.
He retired from Bridgestone Firestone Tire and Rubber Company after 31 years. Don was an Army veteran and served during the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of Second Baptist Church for 35 years and was an avid sports fan.
He was a devoted husband and loving father and “PaPa”.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marie (Blankenship) Hilliard; three daughters, Donna Reynolds and husband Ron of Cedar Park, TX, Jan Mallett of Conway, and Sandra Carroll and husband Bret of Conway; six grandchildren, Jonathan Hill, Brent Reynolds, Drew Mallett, Brayden Mallett, Trey Mallett, and Caitlyn Carroll; and by several nieces and a nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, William K. Hilliard, Robert P. Hilliard, Martin R. Hilliard, Jr., and Charles Q. Hillard, two sisters, Dorothy Walker and Josephine Markwell, and a nephew.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, Rev. Mark Dance and Rev. Clyde Spurgin officiating. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation is Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Second Baptist building fund.
