William Cunnard Cromer, 61, died at his home, 906 East Eighth Street, (per Kevin Roberg-Perez he lived at 904 8th St per 1930 census) at 11:50 Monday evening. Mr. Cromer had been in poor health for some time but his illness did not become serious until Sunday evening. Heart disease caused his death.

William Cromer was born in Muscatine, May 22, 1869 and had made his home here all his life. He married Mrs. Anna Greer five years ago. He was a member of the local bricklayers union.

Surviving are his widow; three children, Alvin at Clinton, Hiram at Cedar Falls, and Bertha Elaine at home; six stepchildren, Mrs. Hubert Rose of Davenport, Mrs. William Stdker (hard to read) of Muscatine, Warren of Marengo, and Lucille Franklin and LaVern, all at home; one granddaughter, Pearl Cromer of this city.

The body was taken to the Meyers Funeral home where it will remain pending completion of funeral arrangements.

Note: The estate records for William show Expenditures on the estate on August 4, 1930: N. W. Meyers, undertaker for casket, embalming and box ----$223.00 Hearse, Kline Cemetery ----$20.00 Paid for digging grave ---- $10.00 & other items listed (none pertaining to the burial).

Note: The cemetery does not have a record of his burial, however there is a plot with Father & Mother (with death date 1939) which may very well be him and Anna).
