Theresa (Windisch) Powell, 96, of Skaneateles, passed away on April 24, 2014. Born in Passaic, NJ, she was a resident of Skaneateles since the 1930s. She was a communicant of St Mary's of the Lake Church, and was predeceased by her husband, Philip in 1998. She is survived by two sons, Robert of Syracuse and Thomas of Skaneateles; three grandchildren, Christian of Syracuse, Andrea (Jeff) of Killdeer, ND and Genevieve of Baldwinsville, and a great-granddaughter, Jessica of Killdeer. After a career as a full-time mother and partner in her husband's cabinet-making shop, she worked at the former Big Store in Auburn and was a member of Singing Seniors of Skaneateles, Seniors of Skaneateles and Seniors of Sennett, and was a volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels and for Alzheimer's Association. We will miss her tireless efforts at building her home and her contributions to many community activities. A funeral Mass will be offered at St Mary's of the Lake Church 10 a.m. on Monday, April 28 followed by burial in St Mary's Cemetery. Contributions may be made to SAVES.
