FRED KAMP JR. GETS SUMMONS

Pioneer Resident of County Dies At Tannery Sunday
TWO RIVERS, (Special)-Fred Kamp, Jr., one of the county's oldest pioneer residents who settled in the town of Two Rivers when it was a wilderness and inhabited by Indians, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Emma Jasper, Tannery, at 11 o'clock Sunday night. He would have been 92 in February.

Mr. Kamp, who had been a resident of the county for nearly 80 years, had been confined to bed for the past four years at his daughter's home, with whom he lived for 10 years. Funeral services will be held Wednesday.

Mr. Kamp was born in Germany, February 18, 1844, a son of the late Fred and Catherine Kamp who immigrated to this country nearly 80 years ago. They acquired a large tract of land a few miles north of the city on the Rangeline.

About 70 years ago Fred Kamp, Jr., was married in Two Rivers to Theresa Trautmann, of the town of Two Rivers, whose parents also were among the earliest settlers. After residing on the homestead farm for many years, the property was sold more than a quarter of a century ago to Fred Fink, who still operates the farm. The Kamps came to this city to reside. Following the death of his wife, 10 years ago here he made his home with his daughter.
