Born March 9, 1927 to Doris Baxter and Lee R. Fry in Salt Lake City, Utah. Married Beverly D. Williams on November 22, 1947. Stan was a member of the United States Army during World War II serving in France. "Stan the man" owned and operated Behive Vending in the Salt Lake area and was a Certified Ski Instructor with the Alf Engen Ski School for 40 years. His passions included water skiing and boating at Bear Lake and snow skiiing at Alta with his family and close friends.
Survived by his wife of 49 years, Beverly; son, Michael S. (Lori) Fry; daughter, Robyn F. (Frank) Archer; son-in-law, John Raemer; grandsons, Christopher and Corey Raemer; granddaughters, Stephanie and Alexandra Archer and Miranda Fry; brothers, Robert Fry and Richard (DeAnna) Fry; sisters, Pat (Bill) Ryan; and Penny (Gene) Gough. Preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Fry Raemer.
A celebration of Stan's life will be held Thursday, January 2, 1997, where friends and relatives may visit between 2 and 4 p.m. with grave dedication to follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary Chapel, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy.
Donations may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation or the University of Utah Ski Archives.
