Janet Lee Hale Boyd passed quietly from this life at the young age of 63 after complications from illness while hospitalized at Baylor Hospital in Dallas. Jan was born June 13, 1953 in Dallas, Texas. She passed away on her birthday, Monday, June 13, 2016. Jan was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Boyd of Mesquite; parents, Archie and Edna Hale of Lewisville; and brother, Tom Hale of Dallas. She is survived by her son, Cody Boyd, and grandson, Hunter Boyd, both of Mesquite; brother, Jerry Hale and wife, Anita, both of Winnsboro; and brother, Clint Hale of Lewisville; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and about a million other family members and friends. Jan was a fun-loving member of Sisters on the Fly, a group dedicated to adventure and travel in small travel trailers, within a close knit group of like-minded women. Jan never met a stranger and always greeted everyone with a radiant, “dimpled” smile, a hug, an “I love you” and a twinkle in her eye. She will definitely be missed by everyone who ever knew and loved Jan Hale Boyd. Services will be pastored by Tim Caldwell at Mulkey Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 11:00AM. Janet’s family wil receive visiotrs and frineds at 10:00AM one hour prior to the service. Janet wil be laid to rest in the Cottonwood Cemetery near Alba in East Texas following the service at 3:00PM.
