Easton - Fredrick George Easton, 98 a former resident of Walterville, died in Vancouver, Wash, March 23 A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Burns-Fredericksen Funeral Home, Springfield, with private burial in Greenwood Cemetery near Leaburg.

A funeral service for Frederick George Easton of Vancouver, Wash., former resident of Walterville, was held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 29, in Burns-Fredericksen Funeral Home. Pastor John Bigham of Thurston Christian Church officiated. Interment followed in Greenwood Cemetery at Leaburg.
Mr. Easton, 98, died March 23 in Vancouver, where he had lived for the past seven years. Born Sept, 7, 1877 in Sussex County, England, he came to the United States at the age of 9 and lived at Walterville for 50 years.
Mr. Easton was married to Katie Hartwig at Eugene on Jan 15, 1912. They moved from Walterville to Battleground, Wash., in 1936 and lived there until moving to Vancouver, Mrs. Easton died Jan 14, 1973.
Suviving are three daughters and two sons, Veola Rasmussen of Springfield, Erma Brooks of Port Orchard, Wash., Mrs. Rex Holcomb of Myrtle Creek, Ivan and Marvin Easton, both of Vancouver; 17 grandchildren, 30 great-gandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
