LONG, Bobbie of Tampa, died peacefully on April 19, 2014, surrounded by loving family. She is survived by her daughter, Dennie; granddaughter, Marcia; son-in-law, Wallace Barton and nephew Joseph Miller of Jacksonville. She and her beloved Jim were married 66 years before his death. She volunteered hundreds of hours to support her daughter's school, Academy of the Holy Names and set records for fund raising resulting in purchases such as the lighted tennis courts and the marble staircase in the Academy's front reception hall. She was president of the Mother's Association at the Academy for a number of years. Funeral Services will be held April 26, 10 am, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S MacDill. Interment will follow in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.
