Passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, after a long battle with kidney disease. Born in Wilmington, Delaware on March 25, 1965, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Roberta Jean (Rowe) McHugh both of Wilmington
Nancy was employed as a librarian for the Diocese of Wilmington at Holy Angels School in Newark, DE. She loved reading, her music and her gardening. She enjoyed Bethany Beach and the Poconos, but was most comfortable at home with her family and friends. Her true passion was raising her three daughters. As co-leader of Girl Scout Troop 897, she helped the troop complete 13 years of achievement including the highest honor, the Gold Award.

In addition to her parents, she is pre-deceased by her brother Tom McHugh Jr. She will be dearly missed by her husband Rob, daughters Rhiannon, Samantha and Alyssa, her brothers Bob, Rich(Sallie), Kevin(Donna), Dan(Cindy), and sister Kate(Scott) Alexander; along with many nieces and nephews and special friends Maureen Dominelli and Colette Matsanka.
Friends and family are invited to visitation on Sunday, April 27th between 6 and 8 PM at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at 11 am Holy Angels Church, 82 Possum Park Road, Newark. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Memorial Fund for Nancy E. Trent, c/o WSFS Bank, 4601 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington DE 19808 or any WSFS branch for the furthering of her children's education.
