Mr. Dolores Soto, age 96, died. He was a long-time Karnes County resident.
He married Miss Francisca Guerra de Silvas in the late 1920s. They were the parents of eight children, one girl and seven boys.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Francisca "Pancha"; and two sons: Trinidad "Trino" Soto and Ramon Soto.

He was born on October 14, 1908, in Karnes County, to the late Ramon and Fernanda (Valverdes) Guajardo Soto. He was a farm laborer and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Runge.
Survivors: daughter, Estefanita Rivas of Karnes City; son, Felix Soto of Runge, Nick Soto and Edward Soto, both of Karnes City; Dolores Soto Junior of San Antonio, and Lee Soto of Victoria; 18 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: wife, Francisca Guerra Soto; son, Trino Soto Senior; brothers; sisters; and one grandson.
A rosary was recited 7 p.m. Sunday, September 11, 2005 at Rhodes Funeral Home chapel.
Services were 10 a.m. Monday, September 12, 2005 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Runge, Rhodes Funeral Home, Karnes City, 830-780-3334.
