CIVILIAN DEAD: THE TORQUAY BOMBING, LONDON BLITZ

UPDATE, NOVEMBER 2016:

This information has been found regarding Dee in the UK Census/Birth information:

Records Births

Deirdre P A Hall
District: Woolwich ... County: London ... Year: 1939 ...
Mother's Maiden Name: Dowdeswell ... Quarter: 1 ... Volume: 1d ...
Page: 1218 ...

Deidre Phillipa Amy Hall was a six year old girl killed in one of the nuisance bombings of London during WWII. There seems to be almost no verifiable information about her other than what is on file with the Commonwealth Roll of the Dead; I know of her only because there is some sort of distant relationship to her and her parents, John Densum and Sadie Hall - I am still trying to verify information regarding my actual relation to this family.

Deirdre's brother Michael, as well as her mother Sadie, are listed as having died with her - I am still learning about the Bombing of Torquay and will update this page with pertinent information as soon as possible.

There is verification that John Densum Hall was a registered surgeon - I have found him in both M.R.C.S. and L.R.C.P., which makes it even more surprising to me that he seems to disappear in many ways, following his wife and children's deaths.

Deirdre - there are a couple of letter notations which refer to her as 'Dee' and her first name is also spelled with and without the first 'r' - does not have a verified place of burial, at this point. I will update this page as soon as possible with concrete information.
