Revoluntionary Soldier from 1775 to 1783. He and his descendants are the subject of the book "Rev. Christian Frederick Post and Peter Humrickhouse, and Some of the Latter's Family", by Harry Humrichouse, 1913. He served directly under General George Washington at Valley Forge and the Delaware Crossing.

Brother of Anna Maria Humrichouser Bentz and also of John H. Houser, George H. Houser, who both are the founders of the families that settled in Fairfield County, Ohio and Jacob Humrickhouse, whose son Jacob was the founder of the Humrickhouse's that settled in Carroll, Cass, and Miami counties in Indiana.
