P. Ackerman Passes Away
Peter Ackerman, 79, passed away yesterday at the family residence, 338 Maple st., following a short illness.
Mr. Ackerman was a native of Newdorf in South Russia, where he was born Dec. 15, 1875. He had lived in Lodi since 1936, coming here from Wishek, N.D. He was a retired groceryman and a lifelong member of Ebenezer Congregational Church.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Maria Ackerman; two sons, John W. Ackerman of North Dakota and Edwin P. Ackerman of Glendale, Calif.; and two daughters, Mrs. Lydia Ritter and Mrs. Martha Anderson, both of Stockton.
Other survivors include a brother, Fred E. Ackerman of Fargo, N.D.; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Krien, Wishek, N.D. and Mrs. Christina Hildenbrand, Anamoose, N.D.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
