Kenneth loved to visit with people, especially on topics of farming, sports and politics. He also enjoyed reading periodicals and newspapers to keep up on current affairs in the community. Kenneth was on the Garfield Creamery Board for over 30 years and also was a township supervisor for Brandon Township.
Kenneth died August 6, 2004 at Bethany Home at the age of 86. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Gudrun. Kenneth is survived by his son: Keith (Deb) Johnson of Sauk Centre; daughter: Renee Caye of Alexandria; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brother: Raymond (Jean) Johnson of Garfield; and sister: LaVonne Anderson of Alexandria.
A funeral service was held August 20, 1004 at the East Moe Lutheran Church in Garfield. Rev. Harold Knutson and Rev. Dan Christ officiated. Interment was in the East Moe Cemetery. Pallbearers were Frank Foslien, Dale Sletto, Douglas Sletto, Myron Sletto, Mark Johnson and Dan Botner. Military honors were accorded by the Brandon American Legion Post 278. Anderson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
