Elden Paul Myers. 75, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2004, at his home in Provo, Utah of natural causes. He was born November 25, 1928 in American Fork, Utah to Victor Floyd Myers, Sr. and Lenora Elizabeth Butt. He married Dixie Lee Burgener November 6, 1959 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He graduated from American Fork High School, attended Brigham Young University and graduated from Utah Trade Technical Institute, Orem, Utah as an Electronic Technician.
He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in Guam and Japan in the United States Navy.
He was a member of the LDS Church. He loved the outdoors, mountains, animals, hunting, fishing, traveling and had traveled all over the world. He loved to sing the Old Country Songs and was known to his Karaoke friends as "Country Cowboy Paul." He would yodel and give his Hee Haa at the end of each song. He was an avid BYU fan. He loved playing with his grandchildren.
We would like to thank his great doctor, Dr. Jeffrey Johnson, Doctors, Nurses and Staff at the Utah Valley Reg Med Center and East Lake Care Center who showed their great love to him in his time of need.
He is survived by his wife, 5 children, Paula (Dan) Mortensen, Las Vegas, Nevada; Elden Reed (Loretta) Myers, Conway, Arkansas; Lee Ann Myers, South Jordan, Utah; Victor Scott (Shawna) Myers, Springville, Utah and Samuel Paul Myers, Provo, Utah; 17 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, sisters Lela West, Pleasant Grove and Irene Limb, American Fork. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Floyd and Jay and sister Mary.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m, Friday, April 23, 2004 at Anderson Sons Mortuary Chapel, 49 East 100 North, American Fork, Utah. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services also at the mortuary. Burial in American Fork Cemetery with military rites by VFW District 4.
