Minnie Ella Andersen died peacefully on April 15th at the Danbury Healthcare Center at the remarkable age of 102. She was born in Kent, New York to Susan and George Robinson and spent most of her life in Danbury. Minnie was an active member of the Danbury Baptist Church, and had worked for 35 years in the Danbury Hospital Pediatrics Department. She was a compassionate and generous person who loved her family and friends.
Minnie was predeceased by her beloved husband of 61 years Edward Andersen, their two daughters Carol Bochnia and Marilyn Scott, and two grandsons William and Richard Bochnia. She is survived by her son-in-law John Scott, and her grandchildren Deborah Boucher, Elizabeth Bochnia, John Scott, Alexander Bochnia Jr., James Scott, Jane Blackwell, John Bochnia, and Caroline Bochnia-Driscoll. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
Calling hours will take place on Wednesday April 23 at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street Danbury from 10am to 11am. Committal services will follow immediately at the Wooster Cemetery, Danbury.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the , 38 Richards Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06854.
