Visitation for James Brookshier of Kirkland will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today and 8:30 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at Greenacres Funeral Home. A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Greenacres Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow.
Mr. Brookshier died at home Friday, Dec. 19, 1977. He was 70.
Born Oct. 23, 1927, in Warrensburg, Mo., to John B. and Cora B. Hammond Brookshier, he served in the U.S. Army in Germany. He lived in Kirkland the past 35 years as a retired employee of Bellevue School District.
A member of Eagles No. 2681 in Kirkland and of Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 2995 in Redmond, he supported Disabled American Veterans and Toys for Tots.
Survivors include daughter Rena Havens of Kelso, son Fred Brookshier of Kirkland, brother George Brookshier of Blackfoot, Idaho, four granddaughters, 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Greenacres Funeral Home.
