She was born January 21, 1924 in Louisa, Kentucky. Iva was employed as a cook for 26 years at the Champaign Lane Bowling Alley, retiring in 1984. She loved her family. She loved spending time with them, cooking, babysitting or family get-togethers. Her family will sadly miss her. They all pitched in to help her, especially, Virginia, who dedicated the last 20 years to her mother's care.
She is survived by daughters, Nancy West, Arlene (Roger) Matney and Virginia Yoder, son, Charles (Mary) Thompson, a special daughter, Patricia Thompson, daughter-in-law, Gloria Thompson, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; her sister, Madeline Vanhoose and several nieces & nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bert Thompson, her sons, Raymond and Carl E Thompson, great grandson, Nic Orahood and sisters, Marie Thompson, Margaret Fraley and Dixie Fraley.
