Sharon was born on July 31, 1958 in Madison, Wisconsin the daughter of Frank and Dorriane (Ofsthun) Carpenter. She was employed at General Motors in Janesville until her retirement in 2007 and was a member of the United Auto Workers Union. Sharon enjoyed watching Nascar racing and the was an avid Green Bay Packers Fan. She loved animals, was very caring and would do anything for anyone. She liked to visit and socialize with her friends and family. Sharon was a loving daughter, sister, and friend and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She died April 22, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital Janesville after a short illness. She is survived by her mother; her sister; two aunts; several cousins and a special friend. She was preceded in death by her father Frank, aunts, uncles, cousins and her loving chocolate lab Sydalee. Burial will be held in Maple Hill Cemetery Evansville at a later date. Ward-Hurtley Funeral Home Evansville.
