NUTTER FORT — Steven Jerome Singleton, 48, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away April 21, 2014, at the Crestview Manor in Jane Lew, WV.

Steven was born June 23, 1965, in Lawton, Oklahoma, a son of Wilber Singleton of Clarksville, TN, and Katherine Yvonne Oliver Singleton of Clarksburg.

Steven is survived by a son, Timothy Wilson, and a daughter, Aleaha Singleton and longtime companion, Marva Thompson; three brothers, Wilber Singleton Jr. and wife Nicole of Clarksburg, Scott Sowell and wife Kelli of Waldorf, Maryland and Timothy Starks and wife April of Clarksburg; and two sisters, Kettera Smith and husband Elgie of Bridgeport and Jai’ Cie Starks of Clarksburg.

Steven is also survived by his stepfather, Thomas Starks of Clarksburg.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Starks II.

Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Friday, April 25, 2014, from 10 a.m. to the time of the service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ramona Woods presiding. Interment will follow at the Stonewall Park Cemetery.
