Jennie Mae Streeby was born in Iowa City, Iowa. She moved to Ottumwa and married Glen Grandy in 1917. She had two children with Glen, Kenneth Gillette and Eloise. Jennie and Glen were divorced and she married Edward W. McCarty in 1923 and had 5 more children with him. Roberta, Rosa, Lawrence, Rena and Norma. They were farmers in Ottumwa, Iowa all their lives. She also raised her grandson Leroy as well. She will be loved and missed by her children and many grandchildren.
