Veteran of World War II and Korea. Sergeant First Class - United States Army. Stationed in the Pacific and participated in battles at New Guinea, Northern Solomons and Sou Philippines LIberation. Recipient of the American Defense Ribbon, American Theataer Ribbons, ASiatic Pacific Ribbons with three bronze star; Philippine Liberation Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Victors Medal.

Married Theresa Ursery Cox on December 2, 1947, at Ft Bliss, Texas. She preceded him in death on September 5, 2003. Also preceded by his parents Isiah and Vernon Brown; and two brothers, Clewood Brown and Isiah Brown, Jr. and a sister, Bessie Brown.
