Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Betty Hall and Marion Franklin Daniel, Sr.
Marion was in the United States Navy during WWII, a member of Monaghan Baptist Church and retired from Singer Manufacturing.
He is survived by a son, Tom Daniel (Sheila) of Greer; a half-sister, Sally Reid of Ware Shoals; a brother, Robert E. Daniel of Aiken; four grandchildren, Christopher Daniel, Ashley Bradshaw, Georgeanna Brown and Ronnie Robinson; and twelve great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Buddy Ray and Mickey Holsonback.
The visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
