GREENFIELD, Mo. Barbara "Bobbie" "Jeannie" Nichols, age 61, of Greenfield, Mo., passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at her Cassville, Mo. residence.
She was born Sept. 3, 1952, in Plainville, Kan., the daughter of Clarence and Royalann Lynn (Nelson) Wells.
On April 16, 1992, in Grove, Okla., she was united in marriage to Jim Nichols, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Josh Jennings, of McPherson, Kan., and Michael Nall, of Texas; one daughter, Marsha Jennings, of Olathe, Kan.; three brothers, Ray Wells, of Medicine Park, Okla., Norman Wells, of Zurick, Kan., and Rusty Wells, of Damar, Kan.; one sister, Corley Johnson, of Bogue, Kan.; five grandchildren; and three step grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Roy Wells; and one sister, Susan Adams.
Jeannie grew up in Kansas and graduated from high school in Phillipsburg, Kan. She had resided in Noel, Mo. and Pratt, Kan. before moving to Grove, where she married Jim. Ten years ago she and Jim moved to Greenfield, and spent part of each year at their Cassville residence. She loved flowers and camping.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at Resthaven Memorial Garden, Ponca City, Okla., under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. Friday at Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
