ROCK CREEK – Carl R. Wolfram, of Rock Creek, died March 8 at the Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland. He was 70.

Carl was born on Jan. 11, 1944, in Burton Township to Carl A. and Christina (nee Weintrager) Wolfram.

A graduate of Burton High School, Class of 1962, he then served his country for four years in the U.S. Air Force as a radio and electronics technician.

Carl then joined TRW, where he worked as an electrician for many years. He enjoyed farming and after he retired, he operated a 60-acre hay and grain farm in Rock Creek.

Carl is survived by his sisters, Marie (Leo, deceased) Walzer of Shaker Heights, and Anne (Terence) Deggendorf of Northampton, Mass.; brother John (Mary Lou) Wolfram of Burton; nephews, David Deggendorf, Byron & Aaron Wolfram; nieces, Carol Orelli, Lisa Schmitt, and Anna Blouir.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Richard; and sisters, Elizabeth, Gertrude, Helen and Julia.

A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. March 13 at the Church of St. Helen, 12060 Kinsman Rd., Newbury with Rev. Jay McPhillips officiating.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. March 12 at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon.
