Marva J. Anderson, 78, Bismarck, passed away at her home on April 22, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer. Services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, April 25, at Faith Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with Rev. Wes Aardahl officiating. Burial will be at Bowman Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm Thursday, April 24, at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Marva was born October 20, 1935, to Ralph and Millie Anderson in Bowman, ND. She taught 4th grade at Will Moore Elementary in Bismarck for 32 years. Throughout the years, Marva was an active golfer, bowler, and volunteer. She loved spending time with her friends. Marva had a special place in her heart for her cat, Jente. Marva is survived by her sister, Carol (Jim) Erickson, Apache Junction, AZ; her nieces and nephews, Scott, Marilyn, Carma, Kevin, Dawn, and Tanya; many great-nieces and great-nephews; her sister-in-law, Jackie Anderson; cousins; and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Marlene Ruppert; and her brother, Bruce Anderson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Alexius Medical Center Home Care and Hospice
