RACHEL LOVENA GAUNT, Wife of Arthur Lee Gaunt, Daughter of David and Catharine Stutsman, died at her home near Bluffton at 5 o'clock Friday evening after an illness of ten days of pneumonia. Five sons and two daughters survive, David Walter, of Portland; Charles Jacob, of Bluff Point; Edward Lee; Harry Mark; Chauncey Mack; Prudence and Maggie, at home. The following sisters survive, Prudence, Wife of W.B. Swain of this city; Mrs. Laura Vincent, of VanBuren; Mrs. Libby Whaley, of Green Post Office; Mrs. Priscilla Whaley, of Como. She was born and raised in Preble County, Ohio, married 2 October 1879 in Jay County, and lived in Grant County several years, moving from there to Bluffton just two years ago, where she has since resided. She was about 52 years of age. The remains were brought here Monday morning over the C.B. & C. Railroad and were taken directly to the United Brethren Church at Hopewell. Interment took place in the Claycomb Cemetery.
