Lloyd Weldon Gigout was the son of Lawrence and Hazel Duhon Gigout.

Lloyd Weldon Gigout, age 87 1/2, went to be with the Lord on April 23, 2014. He was born in Baytown, Texas on July 12, 1926.

Lloyd happily married at a young age, and shortly thereafter, he left to serve in the Army during World War II. When he returned from the war, he began working in the oil fields for Mill Bennett Estates, where he was employed until his retirement, at the age of 62. At that time, he started his own business, J&L Pumping. Lloyd found great pleasure in spending time with his family, as well as worshipping the Lord at Mercy Gate Church, were he was a member for most of his adult life. He enjoyed working out at Eagle Pointe gym, watching professional football, and drinking coffee with his buddy.

He was preceeded in death by his first love of 57 years, Jacqueline Wanda Cowery; his second love of 5 years, Rose Sharon Henderson; his oldest son, Lloyd Michael Gigout; and his brother, Carrol Gigout.

Those left to cherish his memories include Jennifer Gigout (Mike's wife); his son, Donnie Ray Gigout (wife Bettye Joe); daughters, Linda Kay Walker (husband James) and Pamela Fauvette Buras (Husband Barry); grandchildren, Tami Walker, Lloyd Kevin Trousdale (wife Wendy), Shane Gigout (wife Kathy), Brandon Gigout (wife Holly), Sonya Trousdale Bayliss (husband Lance), James Walker, Jr (wife Nico), Josh Gigout (wife Misty), Jeremy Buras (wife Amber), Lacy Gigout, and Cherith Gigout; brother Andrew Gigout (wife Robbie) and sister Dorothy Love; as well as 20 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, April 26, 2014, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home in Baytown, Texas. The funeral will be held at Mercy Gate Church in Mont Belvieu, Texas on Sunday, April 27, at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Baytown, Texas.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his memory to one of Lloyd's two favorite ministries, Mercy Gate Church Building Fund at (www.mercygatechurch.com) or to his grandson, missionary Jim Walker, at (www.Ywamships.net) and specify for the Walker family.
